Live Locomotion's FAQs 1. Q: What is your Shipping Policy? A: All orders are shipped via UPS ground unless otherwise notified. All shipping prices are in relation to the weight and zip/postal code of the order. To be able to have same day shipping orders need to be in by email or phone before 2 pm so that the orders can be filled and shipped. 2. Q: What is your Return Policy? A: Live Locomotion accepts returns in limited specific situations. The details are laid out in the following Live Locomotion Return Shipment Policies which can be found in full detail on the Policy Page. 3. Q: How do I place an order for products? A: You can place an order by using the Shopping Basket which is on the left side of the presently viewed page. 4. Q: How do I report a missing order? A: Report a missing order by contacting Live Locomotion via email @ support@livelocomotion.com or by phone @ 1-306-419-9006 and we will call you right back to save you long distance charges. You can also use the tracking page which is explained below. 5. Q: Can I track my order? A: Yes you can track your order through the track order link. On the tracking page you enter your tracking number and press the view button to see where your order is at the present time. 6. Q: What age is it appropriate to get children interested in model railroading? A: Children from about 3 years of age and up will definitely start to enjoy most train displays. 7. Q: How do I clean dirt build-up on the wheels of my engine(s) and car(s)? A: You can use a light oil spray, which is an excellent solvent for the dirt that builds up on car and engine wheels and track rails. Use a Q tips saturated with light oil spray to remove the build up on wheels and a cloth saturated with light oil spray on the rails. If the build up is severe, first use a utility knife to scrape off the sediment, then finish with light oil spray. 8. Q: What is the smallest model railroad I can build? A: The smallest model railroad that can be built is micro train layouts. 9. Q: Why are some locomotives noisier than others? A: "Noise" is the result of improperly meshing gears within the engine(s), which have a worm mounted gears on the motor shaft. There is supposed to be a small space beterrn the teeth of the worm and the worm gear called a backlash. If there is too much backlash then the drive train will be noisy. 10. Q: What is the price range of the engines on your site? A: The pricing of the engines in our stock range from $40.00 to $1600.00 11. Q: What is the price range of the train cars on your site? A: The pricing of the train cars in our stock range from $30.00 to $145.00 12. Q: What is the difference between a scale and a gauge in model railroading? A: The difference between scale and gauge is that scale refers to the size or the ratio of the model as it relates to the real item, while gauge refers to the measurement between the rails of the real or model tracks. |
